Bada Esther Adesola received a First-Class Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Lagos, making her the top graduate in her class. Along with this academic accomplishment, the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) has formally inducted her as a certified professional teacher.

Adesola didn’t start his academic career with much zeal. She struggled to accept the offer after being admitted through JAMB CAPS into Early Childhood Education, a field she hadn’t thought about. She doubted the course’s significance and applicability for days.
She decided to give it a shot with her mother’s support, intending to change her major after the first year. But after she started going to lessons, everything changed. Her attitude changed as a result of her first semester performance and her developing interest in the subject.
She quickly came to see that early childhood education is much more than just teaching the fundamentals; it is essential in influencing children’s mental, emotional, and social development in their early years. This realisation fuelled her passion, which in turn fuelled her performance.
Adesola, who is now a certified teacher, looks back on her progress with pride. She revealed, “I never imagined I’d end up here.” “However, in retrospect, I can see how much this journey has changed me.”
She attributes her accomplishment to God’s grace and her mother’s and her university mentors’ unwavering support. She is now committed to using education to uplift and support future generations.
