Renewable Energy Kit
The Renewable Energy Kit demonstrates the production of electricity using solar, water and wind power – all renewable sources of energy. Relevant to the Science and Geography National Curriculum for KS2 and above. The kit is large enough for whole class demonstration.
The product is supplied in kit form including all hoses and attachments when demonstrating electricity being produced using water. In addition to the base unit, solar panel, water ‘turbine’ and wind ‘turbine’ blades, the kit comes with four dials, a meter, a siren, flashing lights, and moving cogs to demonstrate possible effects of power generation. The product variations can be assembled in well under one minute and is easy to use and demonstrate.
The Renewable Energy Kit has been designed to demonstrate either outdoors or in the classroom. In the classroom the teacher can use a fan or light source to replicate the wind and/or sun. In addition to demonstrating the generation of electricity using renewable sources, teachers can use the product to discuss the environmental issues associated with these forms of energy production.
