Atripla is a treatment for?Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) infection in adults aged 18 years and over. Who have previously been treated with other antiretroviral medicines and have their HIV-1 infection under control for at least three months.

Patients must not have experienced failure of a previous HIV therapy.
?low levels of efavirenz can remain in your body for?up to two or three weeks.
may be just as effective when taken every other day?as it is when taken daily.
It is recommended that the anti-HIV drug efavirenz (Sustiva, also in Atripla) is taken?on an empty stomach. This means having a two-hour gap between eating and taking your medication. You should then wait at least one hour before eating again.
This medicine may affect a drug-screening urine test and?you may have false results. Tell the laboratory staff that you use Atripla.
