Aprovel is a brand name for the drug irbesartan, which belongs to a class of medications called angiotensin II receptor blockers (ARBs). It is primarily used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) and certain kidney conditions caused by diabetes. Aprovel works by blocking the action of angiotensin II, a substance in the body that narrows blood vessels, thereby helping to relax blood vessels and lower blood pressure. It is usually taken orally once daily, with or without food. Aprovel may have side effects such as dizziness, fatigue, or allergic reactions, and it should not be used during pregnancy. It?s important to follow your doctor?s instructions and regularly monitor your blood pressure while taking Aprovel.
