Venturi Mask
The Venturi Mask is a medical device used to deliver oxygen to patients. It is a mask that is similar to the simple oxygen mask, but has an additional oxygen delivery tube and an adjustable nozzle. The nozzle changes the proportion of air and oxygen delivered to the patient by adjusting the size of the aperture, thus controlling the oxygen concentration delivered to the patient.
The Venturi Mask is commonly used in emergency care, critical care, surgery, and oxygen therapy, such as oxygen inhalation therapy for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, asthma, pneumonia, and other diseases. It is also used to manage specific cases of respiratory failure, such as hypercapnia and hypoxemia.
The Venturi Mask can provide accurate oxygen concentration and does not interfere with the patient’s breathing.
