The Philip Heat Lamp 175W is a hard glass, infra-red heating lamp for the agricultural, industrial, and domestic sectors. In the agricultural sector, the heat lamp is used to maintain the temperature of young animals.
The heat lamp features an internal, gap-free reflector, which results in the back of the lamp releasing significantly less energy, while heat release from the front is maximized. The white heat lamp provides just as much infra-red radiation and heat as the red variety. However, the red heat lamp produces roughly 75% less light than the white variety.
The 175 Watt PAR heat lamps produce the same amount of heat as a typical 250 Watt heat lamp. That means a 30% saving.
