Norinyl-1

One of the more popular forms of contraception is the combined pill. As its name suggests, this contraceptive uses two hormones in combination to prevent your body from creating an environment where you can conceive.
Norinyl-1 contains the hormones mestranol (50 mcg) and norethisterone (1mg). These are synthetic versions of oestrogen and progestogen.
Alternative combined hormonal treatments include the patch and the ring. These have different methods of application, the patch is placed on the skin, and the ring is inserted into the vagina; however, they work in the same way.
