Chain and Shackle Washer

The Chain and shackle washer is an essential piece of equipment in the poultry processing line. It is specially designed to wash shackles & chains on-line as well as comply with drastically heightened hygiene requirements. The washer is made of stainless steel and synthetics. It is usually mounted on the conveyor system.

The washer allows for shackles, trolleys, and chains to be completely cleaned simultaneously, with no difficulty. Each of the two long nylon brushes on the washer is driven by a separate motor and can be adjusted individually. The brushes are covered externally with a stainless-steel case to effectively prevent water splashing.

Cleaning water is supplied separately to each brush and this increases cleaning efficiency. If required, a disinfection metering device can also be connected to the water inlet.
