The Suresign Diabetes test is a urine based colorimetric test that detects glucose in the urine. The presence of glucose in the urine is called glycosuria or glucosuria, which is normally an indicator of the onset of diabetes, but can also indicate glucose release from the kidneys into the urine (renal glycosuria) and pregnancy. Urine testing is used as it is less invasive than taking a blood sample. Since the onset of diabetes can occur at any time it is essential that tests are carried out regularly.
