Dosage and Administration
Adult HTN, angina 5 mg once daily, may be increased to 10 mg.

Childn & Adolescent 6-17 yr HTN Initially 2.5 mg once daily, up-titrated to 5 mg once daily if BP goal is not achieved after 4 week.

Warning and Precautions
Hypertensive crisis.

Patients w/ heart failure & CHF.

Hepatic & renal impairment.

?
Minor or moderate influence on the ability to drive and use machines.

Pregnancy & lactation. Elderly.

Contraindication
Amlodipine is contraindicated in patients with:

Hypersensitivity to dihydropyridine derivatives, amlodipine or to any of the excipients.

Severe hypotension.

?
Shock (including cardiogenic shock).

?
Obstruction of the outflow tract of the left ventricle (e.g., high grade aortic stenosis).

?
Haemodynamically unstable heart failure after acute myocardial infarction.
