Thus decreasing the elevated levels of insulin in the blood, regulation the hormonal levels & menstrual cycle. 2- By improving the oocytes quality Myo-Inositol is an important component of the growing follicle. It has been observed that abundant levels of Myo-Inositol in follicular fluid is an indication of good quality oocytes. In vitro,it has been shown that the addition of Myo-Inositol to the culture medium of murine oocytes improves the meiotic progression & maturation of the oocytes . Scientific evidence demonstrates that Myo-Inositol can change some hormonal parameters such as the reduction in plasma levels of LH, testoterone, prolactin & LH/FSH ratio. Furthermore, its biological role includes a specific activity to control the metabolism of fats & sugar and cellular function of the nervous system. Myo-Inositol also recovers a regular menstrual cycle because of its modulatin action on the ovaries. Myo-Inositol is included into the protocols of controlled ovarian hyperstimulation.
