It helps in fast recovery and prevents the need for cystectomy (removal of bladder) in cancer patients. The experts from the Department of Atomic Energy and IDRS labs were involved in the development of Aktocyte tablets with the aim of reducing the side effects of radiotherapy. It is a Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) approved tablet.
