Parafilm? M is a plastic paraffin film with a paper backing, mainly used in laboratories. Parafilm paper is a sheet of semi-transparent, flexible, water-resistant material used as a moisture barrier for healthcare instruments or equipment. It is highly ductile, malleable, waterproof, thermoplastic, odourless and transparent.
It is used to seal or protect the contents of containers from moisture and air contamination, but it tends to decompose on exposure to air and light and therefore does not serve as a long-term sealant.
Minimize moisture loss and protect the contents of laboratory items with a flexible cover such as test tubes, beakers, Petri dishes, vials, flasks and other instruments and objects with irregular surfaces, etc.
This laboratory film is an essential element in healthcare, pharmaceutical and research laboratories as it is a convenient and flexible covering system.
It protects the integrity of research applications with a moisture barrier that maintains a strong seal and will not come off the glassware, despite outgassing.
Reduces the risk of data tampering with an odourless, colourless and semi-transparent cover.
Prevents moisture and volume loss due to material composition and airtight seal.
Stretches to over 200% of its original length
Resistant to many substances such as saline solutions, inorganic acids and alkaline solutions for up to 48 hours, from -45??C to 50??C.
