Empty container for liquids, oils, creams, cosmetics, pasty substances, solids, salts, powders or granular materials. Suitable for sampling, packaging, storage, preservation or transport.
The neck of the bottle and the glass stopper are ground standard joint and guarantee a hermetic seal.
The containers are made of clear, amber coloured glass, the glass is mass-produced, the amber colour is not painted or coloured. The color glass protects the contents from light.
Various capacities are available, from 50 ml to 10 litres, with wide or narrow mouths. The 5,000ml and 10,000ml capacities are made of borosilicate glass, the others are made of soda-lime glass.
General properties of borosilicate glass 3.3.
The glass is characterised by its very good chemical resistance to water, salt solutions, acids, bases and organic solvents. It is only attacked by hydrofluoric acid and, at high temperatures, by strong bases and phosphoric acid.
Borosilicate glass is more thermally and chemically stable than soda-lime glass. Heat resistance is defined by the low linear coefficient of thermal expansion. Although it is very high, care should be taken to avoid sudden temperature changes.
Container for chemical, petrochemical, food, steel, microbiological, pharmaceutical, medical and laboratory industries.
