400mm Dimroth Condenser, Ground Joint 2?29/32

This model of condenser is an essential component in extraction and distillation processes in the chemical laboratory. It is made of borosilicate glass 3.3, known for its high thermal and chemical resistance, which guarantees durability and safety in use.

The central tube is a coil or spiral tube called the ?cooling jacket?. The length of the jacket is 400 mm.

It has two standard ground joints to ensure a tight and efficient connection to other laboratory equipment. The upper and lower jaws are ground; the upper jaws are female 29/32 and the lower jaws are male 29/32. The use of clamps is recommended to ensure proper sealing of the ground glass joints (see below).

The condenser design is characterised by a double internal coil through which the refrigerant circulates, allowing both the refrigerant inlet and outlet to be located at the top. Vapours rise through the outer tube from bottom to top, maximising the efficiency of vapour condensation during an extraction processes.
