Description

Abyclav Indications
– acute bacterial sinusitis;
– acute otitis media;
– confirmed exacerbation of chronic bronchitis;
– hospitalized pneumonia;
– cystitis;
– pyelonephritis;
– infections of the skin and soft tissues, including cellulites, animal bites, severe dentoalveolar abscesses with widespread cellulitis;
– infections of bones and joints, including osteomyelitis.
Contradictions
– Hypersensitivity to the active substances, to any formulation of the penicillin group or to any of the excipients.
– Severe hypersensitivity reactions of the immediate type (eg, anaphylaxis) in the history of another ?-lactam preparation (eg cephalosporin, carbapenem or monobactam).
– Jaundice / liver dysfunction due to the history of amoxicillin and clavulanic acid.
Dosage & Administration
For adults and children weighing ? 40 kg a daily dose of 1750 mg of amoxicillin / 250 mg of clavulanic acid, the daily dose is divided into 2 adjuvants.
For children with body weight <40 kg, the maximum daily dose is 1000-2800 mg amoxicillin / 143-400 mg clavulanic acid when administered as indicated below.
