Olanrewaju Timileyin, a resolute young Nigerian woman, has inspired many. After retaking the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) exam to pursue a new academic path—nursing—despite already having a diploma in occupational therapy Olanrewaju Timileyin, a resolute young Nigerian woman, has inspired many.
Timileyin decided to follow her mother’s dream of becoming a nurse after graduating from the Federal School of Occupational Therapy in 2024. She courageously took the JAMB UTME exam once more in order to achieve this, and she received an astounding score of 311 out of 400.

She committed to five months of intense preparation, initially intimidated by the idea of having to retake courses like biology, chemistry, and physics. Her efforts were rewarded with outstanding grades: 69 in English, 74 in Biology, 80 in Physics, and 88 in Chemistry.
In a touching TikTok video, she said, “I wasn’t sure if I could do it anymore.” “But when I nearly gave up, I clung to God, and He gave me strength.”
Timileyin attributed her success to her devoted tutor, her loving family, particularly her mother and sister, and divine grace. She also commended her study partner and friend for being a rock of support when things got tough.
The “Test Driller” app was essential to her preparation since it allowed her to hone her abilities and rebuild her confidence.
Timileyin, who is inspired and thankful, views her story as a reminder that waiting is not the same as denial. “No one can say no when God says yes,” she said, urging others to pursue their goals no matter how long it takes.
