The correspondence indicating the endorsement of the appointment by the Acting Vice-Chancellor was dated March 20, 2024, and endorsed by the Registrar, Dr. Kikelomo W. Sallee.
Before assuming this position, Dr. Salawu held the role of postgraduate program coordinator within the Department of Politics and Governance. Before joining the University in 2012, he had acquired extensive expertise in the banking and telecommunications industries.
He presently holds the position of a senior lecturer, responsible for instructing and overseeing research conducted by students at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
He obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Political Science in 2002 and subsequently pursued an M.Sc. degree in Political Science in 2010 at the University of Ilorin. Subsequently, they obtained a Ph.D. in Political Science in 2016 from the International Islamic University, Malaysia.
