The National Examinations Council (NECO) released the results for the 2024 June/July Senior Secondary Schools Certificate Examination (SSCE) today, Thursday, September 19, 2024.
Professor Dantani Wushishi, the Registrar/Chief Executive of NECO, said this while addressing press in Minna during the announcement of the 2024 SSCE internal results.
The Registrar announced the blacklisting of 21 supervisors across 12 states and the de-recognition of one school in Ekiti State due to widespread cheating in two core courses and one scientific topic.
Professor Dantani said that the Supervisors were advised for blacklisting owing to inadequate oversight, complicity, desertion, extortion, inebriation, and neglect.
“Forty schools were found to have participated in widespread mass cheating across seventeen states, and these institutions will be summoned to the council for deliberation, after which suitable sanctions will be imposed,” he said.
Candidates awaiting the results are now notified that they are now accessible.
Currently, applicants may have challenges in accessing their results due to the high volume of individuals attempting to do so.
We advise applicants to verify theirs starting tomorrow. It is essential to own a NECO Token prior to verifying your findings.
