The Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Effurun (FUPRE), Delta State, invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for admission into its Full-Time and Part-Time Postgraduate Programmes for the 2024/2025 academic session.
Postgraduate Programmes Offered
- College of Science:
- Postgraduate Diploma (PGD): Minimum of 2 semesters (Full-Time) and 4 semesters (Part-Time).
- Master’s (M.Sc): Minimum of 3 semesters (Full-Time) and 5 semesters (Part-Time).
- Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D): Minimum of 6 semesters (Full-Time) and 8 semesters (Part-Time).
- College of Technology:
- Postgraduate Diploma (PGD): Minimum of 4 semesters (Full-Time) and 6 semesters (Part-Time).
- Master’s (M.Sc, M.Eng): Minimum of 3 semesters (Full-Time) and 4 semesters (Part-Time).
- Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D): Minimum of 6 semesters (Full-Time) and 8 semesters (Part-Time).
Postgraduate Admission Requirements
Basic Admission Requirements for All Students:
All candidates must meet the WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB ‘O’ Level or ‘A’ Level requirements as approved by the University Senate.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Postgraduate Diploma (PGD):
- Graduates of FUPRE or any approved University with at least a pass degree.
- Holders of Higher National Diploma (HND) in relevant fields from approved institutions.
- Master’s Degree (M.Sc, M.Eng):
- A First Degree with at least a Second-Class Lower Division from FUPRE or any approved University.
- Candidates with a lower classification but with an Upper Credit in PGD are eligible.
- Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D):
- A Master’s degree with research thesis and a weighted coursework average of at least 60% (B) from an approved University.
How to Apply for FUPRE Postgraduate Admission
- Visit the Postgraduate Portal:
- Access the portal for the postgraduate application.
- Pay the Application Processing Fee:
- The application processing fee is N25,000 (Twenty Five Thousand Naira Only).
- Complete the Online Application Form:
- Follow the provided instructions to fill out and submit the form.
- Upload Supporting Documents:
- Upload scanned copies of:
- University Degree Certificate
- NYSC Discharge/Exemption Certificate
- O’ Level Results
- Transcripts and Referee Reports:
- Request your former University/Institution to send your Academic Transcripts to:
