It is used particularly in overweight patients. Type 2 diabetes mellitus is a condition where your pancreas does not make enough insulin to control your blood sugar levels and your body is unable to efficiently use its own insulin. Glucomet 850mg tabs 56s tablet contains metformin as the active substance. This medicine should not be used in children less than 10 years of age. Take this medicine exactly as recommended by your doctor. Do not stop taking this medicine on your own even if you start feeling better.
How to use
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Glucomet 850 mg tablet is to be taken with food.
Precautions
Taking metformin with alcohol can cause lactic acidosis and you may experience malaise, respiratory distress, slow or irregular heartbeat, sleepiness, stomach upset, or other unusual symptoms. Glucomet 850 mg tablet is probably safe to use during pregnancy and breast feeding. Glucomet 850 mg tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney and liver disease. Dose adjustment of Glucomet 850 mg tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
