Linical Lotion is a soothing relief for itchy skin?Linical Lotion is a skin protectant. It contains calamine. Calamine, being an astringent precipitate, proteins locally around the cells of the damaged skin. As a result surface of the cells is toughened, thereby protecting the cells from external irritation like insect bites, toxins, and allergens. Calamine hardens the walls of blood vessels (capillaries), thereby stopping oozing out of plasma preventing pruritus, erythema, pain, and swelling. Additionally, calamine acts as an antiperspirant.
