INTRODUCTION
ISMIGEN 50MG contains Bacterial lysate which belongs to theroup of medicines called Immunostimulants. It is used in adults and children of 3 years and older to prevent acute, sub-acute, recurrent, or long-term infections of upper & lower airways and bronchopulmonary tree. It is also used to reduce and prevent the number and intensity of relapses. ISMIGEN 50MG is also indicated in combination with other treatments like antibiotics, mucolytic agents, inhaled corticosteroids, and long-acting bronchodilators, when indicated for use.
An upper respiratory infection?is a type of infection that affects the upper part of the respiratory system which includes sinuses and throat,enerally characterized by symptoms such as cough, runny nose, sneezing and throat pain. A lower respiratory tract infection is a type of infection that affects the airways (below the level of the larynx) which includes trachea and the alveolar sac,enerally characterized by symptoms such as stuffed up or a runny nose, dry cough, low?fever, and mild?sore throat.
Bacterial lysate works by modulating the immune system to trigger a protective response against virus/bacteria that cause airway infections in body which may reoccur/relapse thus increasing the immunity against the microorganisms and also provides relief from symptoms of airway infections.
ISMIGEN 50MG is not recommended for use in patients allergic to bacterial lysate. Before taking ISMIGEN 50MG, inform your doctor if you have any disease or if you are taking any other medicines such as antibiotics (used?to treat or prevent bacterial infections), inhaled corticosteroids (medicines used in the treatment of asthma), long-acting bronchodilators (medicines used to control and prevent asthma), and/or mucolytic agents (used to?help clear mucus from lungs affected by various respiratory conditions).
ISMIGEN 50MG is not recommended for use in first three months of pregnancy. It should be used with caution in breastfeeding women. ISMIGEN 50MG should be used with caution in children and adolescents (aged above 3 to 18 years of age) after consulting the doctor. The most common side effects of taking ISMIGEN 50MG is abdominal pain. Consult your doctor if symptomets worse.

HOW ISMIGEN 50MG WORKS

DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Take ISMIGEN 50MG as advised by your physician. Place the medicine beneath the tongue and do not swallow or crush or chew the medicine until it dissolves. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration for you according to your age, body weight and disease condition.

Overdosage:
If you or anyone else accidentally take too much of ISMIGEN 50MG, consult your doctor immediately or visit the nearby hospital.
