INTRODUCTION
NITRT TTS5 5MG PATCH contains Nitroglycerine that belongs to the class of medicines called vasodilators. It is used for the prevention of chest pain associated with angina pectoris due to coronary artery disease. Angina is a condition which causes discomfort and chest pain that keeps coming back because of reduced oxygen and blood supply to the heart. Symptoms include chest pain, difficulty in breathing, dizziness, tiredness etc.
Along with NITRT TTS5 5MG PATCH, your doctor may advise you to make certain lifestyle changes such as quitting alcohol and smoking, eating a healthy diet, managing weight and improving your sleep pattern.
NITRT TTS5 5MG PATCH is not recommended for use in patients having heart diseases, low blood pressure, low blood volume, anaemia,laucoma, bleeding in the brain, increased pressure on the brain, acute angina attack or if you are taking medicines to treat erectile function (sildenafil) or increased pressure in the lungs (riociguat).
Before using NITRT TTS5 5MG PATCH, inform your doctor if you have lung, liver or kidney disease, low levels of oxygen in the blood, low body temperature, malnourishment or insufficient flow of blood to the brain.
NITRT TTS5 5MG PATCH should be used with caution in pregnant or breast-feeding women, consult your doctor for advice before using. NITRT TTS5 5MG PATCH is not recommended for use in children and should be used with caution in elderly patients.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Always use NITRT TTS5 5MG PATCH exactly as prescribed by your doctor. It is for external use only. Wash and dry the area and place the sticky side on the area where NITRT TTS5 5MG PATCH is to be applied (preferably chest). HOW TO MANAGE SIDE EFFECTS
Headache:

Dizziness:

Do not drive or operate any machines if you feel dizzy, tired, faint or have blurred vision after using NITRT TTS5 5MG PATCH.
ALCOHOL

KIDNEY
NITRT TTS5 5MG PATCH should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Consult your doctor for advice before taking it.
LIVER

ALLERGY
Do not use NITRT TTS5 5MG PATCH if you are allergic to Nitroglycerine other organic nitrates such as isosorbide dinitrate and isosorbide mononitrate or any other ingredients of this medicine.
LUNGS
NITRT TTS5 5MG PATCH should be used with caution in patients with lung diseases. Consult your doctor before using it.
HEART DISEASE
NITRT TTS5 5MG PATCH is not recommended for use in patients having heart diseases such as aortic or mitral stenosis (heart does not pump enough blood around your body), inflammation of the heart lining, increased fluid around the heart, heart valve disorder, hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy (thickening of heart muscles), acute angina attack. OTHERS

Medicines used to treat erectile dysfunction (Ex. sildenafil, vardenafil)

Medicines used to treat migraine (Ex. ergotamine)

Medicines to treat high problems (Ex. propranolol, atenolol, isosorbide dinitrate, isosorbide mononitrate, enalapril)

Medicines used to treat depression or anxiety (Ex. amitriptyline, amoxapine, isocarboxazid)

Medicines used to reduce fluid build-up in the body (Ex. spironolactone, furosemide)

Medicines used to protect kidneys from chemotherapeutic agents (Ex. amifostine)

Medicine used to treat phenylketonuria (Ex. sapropterin)

Medicine used to relieve pain (Ex. aspirin)
Overdosage:
If you or anyone else uses too much of NITRT TTS5 5MG PATCH, consult your doctor immediately or visit the nearby hospital. The symptoms of overdosage are, fall in blood pressure making you feel dizzy, weak and light-headed on standing. Paleness, sweating, have a weak pulse, rapid heartbeats (tachycardia), flushed skin, headache, nausea, vomiting, methemoglobinemia (a blood disorder) may also occur.
