INTRODUCTION
E SYLATE INJECTION contains Ethamsylate, which belongs to theroup of medicines called Antihemorrhagic drugs. It is used to prevent and treat bleeding from the blood vessels and to prevent bleeding before or after an operation.
Ethamsylate exerts hemostatic action by improving platelet adhesiveness and restoring capillary (blood vessels) resistance. It decreases bleeding time and increases platelet clumping which reduces capillary bleeding and improves capillary wall stability. Before the treatment, your doctor might want to do certain blood tests to understand your existing condition.
E SYLATE INJECTION is not recommended for use if you have porphyria (defect in the synthesis of haemoglobin) or bronchial asthma. Before receiving E SYLATE INJECTION inform your doctor if you have hypotension or unstable blood pressure. E SYLATE INJECTION should be used with caution in pregnant women. It is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women. Consult your doctor if you experience any unusual effects while receiving E SYLATE INJECTION.

HOW E SYLATE INJECTION WORKS
E SYLATE INJECTION exerts hemostatic action by improving platelet adhesiveness and restoring capillary (blood vessels) resistance. It decreases bleeding time and increases platelet clumping which reduces capillary bleeding and improves capillary wall stability. It inhibits PGI-2 synthesis and corrects abnormal platelet function.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
E SYLATE INJECTION will beiven to you only by a doctor or a nurse into the muscles (intramuscularly) or the veins (intravenously). Your doctor will decide the right dose and duration depending on your age, body weight and disease condition.
WARNING & PRECAUTIONS
PREGNANCY
E SYLATE INJECTION should be used with caution in pregnant women or if you are planning to have a baby. Consult your doctor before receiving it.
BREASTFEEDING
E SYLATE INJECTION is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women as it is unknown if the medicine is excreted in breast milk. Consult your doctor before receiving it.
ALLERGY
Do not receive E SYLATE INJECTION if you are allergic to Ethamsylate or any other ingredients of this medicine.
LUNGS
E SYLATE INJECTION is not recommended for use in patients with bronchial asthma. Consult your doctor before receiving E SYLATE INJECTION.
HEART DISEASE
E SYLATE INJECTION should be used with caution in patients with hypotension and unstable blood pressure. Consult your doctor before receiving E SYLATE INJECTION.
