What is pentasa ?
Pentasa is a brand-name prescription drug that’s FDA-approved for use in adults with ulcerative colitis (UC).
UC is a type of inflammatory bowel disease. It causes swelling and ulcers (small sores) in the lining of your colon and rectum. UC is a chronic (long-term) condition, and your symptoms may change over time. You may have periods of flare-ups, when the disease is active (causing a lot of symptoms).
