Digester Screw Presser with 175 diesel Engine – 1tons / day
Description
Digester Screw Presser with 175 diesel Engine – 1tons / day
The digester screw press consists of a large cylindrical chamber with a conical screw inside. The palm fruit bunches, also known as fresh fruit bunches (FFB), are fed into the chamber, where the screw rotates and pushes the bunches toward the conical end. The rotation and compression action of the screw help to break down the fruit bunches and release the oil trapped within the mesocarp (pulp) of the palm fruits.
As the palm fruits are compressed, the pressure and heat generated during the process aid in loosening the oil from the fruit pulp. The oil, together with water and other non-oil components, is then expelled through small perforations or outlets in the conical end of the chamber. This mixture of oil and water is commonly referred to as crude palm oil (CPO) and contains impurities such as fibers, nut shells, and other solids.
The extracted crude palm oil and other liquids flow out of the digester screw press and are collected for further processing, usually in a series of clarification and purification steps. The remaining solid residue, known as palm oil cake or palm kernel cake, is rich in residual oil and is also collected for further extraction of palm kernel oil.
