INTRODUCTION:-
FLUTIVAC AZ 70MD NASAL SPRAY is a combination of Azelastine and Fluticasone which belongs to theroup of medicines called Antihistamines and Corticosteroids respectively. It is used to relieve the symptoms of moderate to severe seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis in which use of either intranasal antihistamine or corticosteroid alone is not considered insufficient. It is used to relieve the symptoms of allergies such as runny nose, post nasal drip, sneezing and itchy or blocked nose.
Seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis is an allergic reaction to substances called as pollen (hay fever), house mites, moulds, dust or pets.
Avoid consumption of alcohol while using this medicine, because it further decreases alertness and impairment of CNS performance may occur.
Before using this medicine, inform your doctor if you have tuberculosis, asthma, liver or kidney disease.
FLUTIVAC AZ 70MD NASAL SPRAY isenerally not recommended for use in pregnant women unless clearly necessary. Contact your doctor before using.
FLUTIVAC AZ 70MD NASAL SPRAY should be used with caution in breastfeeding women because it may pass through the breast milk. Contact your doctor before using.
FLUTIVAC AZ 70MD NASAL SPRAY is not recommended for use in children and adolescents. Contact your doctor before using.
FLUTIVAC AZ 70MD NASAL SPRAY should be used with caution in elderly patients aged 65 years or above. Contact your doctor before using.
The most common side effects of using this medicine are nosebleed, headache, bitter taste in mouth and unpleasant smell. Contact your doctor, if any of the side effects worsen or persist for a long duration.
USES OF FLUTIVAC AZ 70MD NASAL SPRAY:-
It is used to relieve the symptoms of:
Moderate to severe seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis (in adults and children)
Allergies such as runny nose, postnasal drip, sneezing and itchy or blocked nose
HOW FLUTIVAC AZ 70MD NASAL SPRAY WORKS
FLUTIVAC AZ 70MD NASAL SPRAY is a combination of Azelastine and Fluticasone where Azelastine is an antihistamine which prevents the effects of substances called histamine that is responsible for the allergic reaction in the body. Fluticasone is a corticosteroid that reduces inflammation and symptoms of allergic rhinitis.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE:-
Use FLUTIVAC AZ 70MD NASAL SPRAY as advised by your physician. It is for intranasal use only. Check the label for directions before use. Shake the bottleently before each use.
SIDE EFFECTS OF FLUTIVAC AZ 70MD NASAL SPRAY:-
COMMON
Headache
Bitter taste in the mouth
Unpleasant smell
Nosebleed
UNCOMMON
Slight irritation inside the nose (cause mild stinging, itching, or sneezing)
Nasal dryness
Cough, dry throat or throat irritation
RARE
Dry mouth
Stop using FLUTIVAC AZ 70MD NASAL SPRAY and contact your doctor immediately if you experience any of the following side effects:
Sleepiness or drowsiness
Nasal problems symptoms such as crusting in the nose, nosebleeds, runny nose, nasal septal perforation, sore in your nose, surgery on nose, nose injury
Redness or white colored patches in nose or mouth
Eye problems (glaucoma or cataract)
Immune system problems and increased risk of infections symptoms such as fever, aches or pains, chills, feeling tired
Tiredness, weakness, nausea, vomiting, low blood pressure
Slowed or delayedrowth (in children)
HOW TO MANAGE SIDE EFFECTS:-
Headache:
Rest and relax. Drink plenty of fluids such as water or electrolytes and apply a pain-relieving balm on the head if necessary. Do not consume alcohol. Contact your doctor if the symptom did not improve.

Do not drive or operate any machines, if you experience dizziness, drowsiness, sleepiness, somnolence, and fatigue after using FLUTIVAC AZ 70MD NASAL SPRAY.

Avoid consumption of alcohol while using this medicine, because it may decrease alertness and impairment of CNS performance.
KIDNEY
FLUTIVAC AZ 70MD NASAL SPRAY should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Contact your doctor before using.
LIVER
FLUTIVAC AZ 70MD NASAL SPRAY should be used with caution in patients with severe liver disease. Consult your doctor before using.
ALLERGY
Do not use FLUTIVAC AZ 70MD NASAL SPRAY if you are allergic to Azelastine or Fluticasone or any other ingredients of this medicine.
LUNGS
FLUTIVAC AZ 70MD NASAL SPRAY should be used with caution in patients with asthma, tuberculosis. Contact your doctor before using.
OTHERS:-
Before using FLUTIVAC AZ 70MD NASAL SPRAY, inform your doctor if you:
Had recent surgery in the nose, nasal trauma, nasal ulcers,
Have an infection in the nose
Havelaucoma and cataract
Have impaired adrenal function
Blurred vision or other visual disturbances
Have ocular herpes simplex infection, chicken pox and measles
Have untreated infections like fungal, bacterial, viral, or parasitic infections
Have any other medical conditions
Use in pediatrics:

Use ineriatrics:
FLUTIVAC AZ 70MD NASAL SPRAY should be used with caution in elderly patients (above 65 years of age). Contact your doctor before using.
INTERACTIONS

Medicines used to treat viral infections such as HIV (Ex. atazanavir, darunavir, ritonavir, cobicistat)
Medicines used for fungal infections (Ex. ketoconazole, itraconazole, voriconazole)
Medicines used for bacterial infections (Ex. erythromycin, clarithromycin)
Medicines used to treat stomach ulcers (Ex. cimetidine and ranitidine)
Medicines used for asthma (Ex. theophylline)
Nefazodone (used for depression)
Medicines used to treat inflammation (Ex. dexamethasone, methylprednisolone and prednisone)
Overdosage:
If you or anyone else accidentally uses too much of FLUTIVAC AZ 70MD NASAL SPRAY, consult your doctor immediately or visit the nearby hospital. Symptoms of overdose are increased somnolence, hypercorticism and adrenal suppression conditions such as weight loss, fatigue, muscle weakness, low blood sugar, salt cravings, joint pains, depression and darkening of the skin.
