Fresh Fruit Bunch Sterilizer/Boiler, with Mild Steel Material – 250kg / Batch
Description
Fresh Fruit Bunch Sterilizer/Boiler
A Fresh Fruit Bunch (FFB) sterilizer is a critical piece of equipment used in the palm oil milling process. Its main purpose is to sterilize the palm fruit bunches before the extraction of palm oil. Sterilization is a crucial step in palm oil production as it inactivates enzymes and microorganisms present in the fruits, ensuring the production of high-quality palm oil.
The Fresh Fruit Bunch sterilizer is used to sterilize the freshly harvested palm fruit bunches to prevent the growth of spoilage microorganisms and enzymes that can degrade the quality of the extracted palm oil.
Design and Construction: The FFB sterilizer is typically a large cylindrical vessel made of stainless steel or other suitable materials. It is designed to accommodate a batch or continuous flow of palm fruit bunches.
Sterilization Process: The palm fruit bunches are loaded into the FFB sterilizer, and the vessel is then sealed to create a controlled environment. High-pressure steam is introduced into the sterilizer, raising the temperature and pressure inside.
Time and Temperature Control: The sterilization process requires precise control of time and temperature. The palm fruit bunches are subjected to elevated temperatures (around 140-150°C or higher) for a specific duration (usually around 60-90 minutes). This process effectively kills bacteria, fungi, and other microorganisms present in the fruit bunches.
