INTRODUCTION
FULVETRAZ 250MG contains fulvestrant, which belongs to the group called estrogen blockers. Estrogens is a type of female sex hormones that is involved in the growth of breast cancer. This medicine is used to treat hormone receptor-positive breast cancer in post-menopausal women and in those whose disease has spread after the treatment with an antiestrogen medicine.
Your doctor or nurse will give you FULVETRAZ 250MG as a slow intramuscular injection, one into each of your buttocks. It is not recommended for the use in children and adolescents under 18 years. Do not use this medicine, if you have a low level of platelets in your blood or bleed easily. It should be used with caution in pregnant or breastfeeding women. Consult your doctor before using this medicine. Tell your doctor, if you are taking any other medicines. The most common side effects of this medicine include dizziness, nausea, hot flushes, weakness, headache and tiredness.

Treat advanced or metastatic breast cancer in postmenopausal women
HOW FULVETRAZ 250MG WORKS
It works?by blocking the action of oestrogen on the cancer cells. It binds to the oestrogen receptors and also reduces the number of oestrogen receptors in the breast cancer cells.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Your doctor or nurse will give you FULVETRAZ 250MG into each of your buttocks as a slow intramuscular injection.
SIDE EFFECTS OF FULVETRAZ 250MG
SERIOUS
Thromboembolism (increased risk of blood clots)
Inflammation of the liver (hepatitis)
Liver failure
COMMON
Reactions at the site of Injection such as pain and inflammation
Abnormal levels of liver enzymes
Vaginal bleeding
Nausea
Fatigue
Joint and musculoskeletal pain
Hot flushes
Skin rash
Allergic reactions, including swelling of the face, lips, tongue and/or throat
Headache
Vomiting, diarrhoea, or loss of appetite
Urinary tract infections
HOW TO MANAGE SIDE EFFECTS
Skin itching:
Avoid bath in hot water because hot water can irritate the skin. Moisturizers can be used regular basis to soothe and hydrate the affected area.
Nausea and vomiting:
Keep try taking this medicine with, or just after, a meal or snack and stick to simple meals and do not eat rich or spicy food.
Diarrhea:
Drink lot of fluid, such as water or squash, to avoid dehydration. Do not take any other medicine without consulting your doctor.

FULVETRAZ 250MG should be used with caution in pregnant women. Consult your doctor before taking this medicine.
BREASTFEEDING
FULVETRAZ 250MG is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women unless necessary. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor.
DRIVING AND USING MACHINES
Do not drive or operate any machinery while taking this medicine, it may make you feel tired.
ALCOHOL
Consumption of alcohol is not recommended during treatment with FULVETRAZ 250MG.
KIDNEY
FULVETRAZ 250MG should be taken with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Consult your doctor for advice.
LIVER
FULVETRAZ 250MG should be taken with caution in patients with severe liver disease. Consult your doctor for advice.
ALLERGY
Do not take if you are allergic to the medicine.
HEART DISEASE
FULVETRAZ 250MG should be taken with caution in patients with severe heart?disease. Consult your doctor for advice.
OTHERS
Do not use FULVETRAZ 250MG if you have problems with blood clots and have a low level of platelets in your blood or bleed easily.
