INTRODUCTION
HALONEXT S OINTMENT is a combination of Halobetasol and Salicylic acid which belongs to the group of medicines called Corticosteroids and Keratolytic agents respectively. It is used to treat eczema, psoriasis. This medicine is also used to treat dermatitis, seborrheic dermatitis and inflammatory dermatoses.
Eczema is a skin inflammatory disorder characterized by red and itchy rashes. The utmost common cause of eczema is allergies. Psoriasis is an autoimmune disease of the skin that is characterized by red, itchy, and scaly rashes.
HALONEXT S OINTMENT should not be used on the face, groin, or in axillae. HALONEXT S OINTMENT is not recommended to use in patients who have rosacea or perioral dermatitis.
HALONEXT S OINTMENT should be used with caution among pregnant and breastfeeding women. HALONEXT S OINTMENT is not recommended to use in children and adolescents under 12 years of age and it should be used with caution in elderly patients.
The most common side effect of this medicine is thinning of skin, dry skin, and application site reactions (burning, irritation, itching, and redness). Consult your doctor if the above side effects worsen. Avoid applying this medicine around your eyes, including your eyelids.

HOW HALONEXT S OINTMENT WORKS
HALONEXT S OINTMENT is a combination of Halobetasol and Salicylic acid. Halobetasol is a steroid which works by blocking the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the skin red, swollen, and itchy. Salicylic acid works by breaking down keratin clumps, removing dead skin cells, and softening the skin. It also increases the absorption of halobetasol into the skin.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Apply HALONEXT S OINTMENT as directed by your physician. It is for external use only. Apply a thin layer of HALONEXT S OINTMENT to the affected area. Treated areas on the face should not be covered with a plaster or bandage. Your doctor will decide the right dose, and duration depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition.

Have Cushing?s syndrome

Have hyperglycemia

Have glucosuria
Use in pediatrics:
HALONEXT S OINTMENT is generally not recommended to use in children and adolescents (below 12 years of age). Consult your doctor before using this medicine.
Use in geriatrics:
In elderly patients, HALONEXT S OINTMENT should be used with caution. Consult your doctor before using this medicine.
INTERACTIONS
A. Drug-Drug interactions:
Before using HALONEXT S OINTMENT, inform your doctor if you are taking or have recently taken or might take any other medicines including medicines taken without prescription and herbal preparations.
Overdosage:
If you or anyone else accidentally apply too much or a small quantity of the HALONEXT S OINTMENT is accidentally swallowed, it is unlikely to cause any harm. If a larger quantity of the HALONEXT S OINTMENT is accidentally swallowed consult your doctor immediately or visit the nearby hospital.
