What is this medication used for?
Doctors prescribe Istin among others against high blood pressure. Elevated blood pressure provokes little or no physical symptoms, but is harmful to the arteries and the heart. If the blood pressure is chronically high, this can increase the risk of cardiovascular disease. Istin ensures a lower blood pressure, which reduces this risk. Istin is also sometimes used to treat certain heart conditions (for example: angina pectoris) and Raynaud?s phenomenon (a circulation problem in the hands and feet).
