CHARACTERISTICS OF THE INGREDIENTS

Berberis (Berberis aristata DC): it is an evergreen shrub native to the Himalayas but also grows in the temperate and sub-tropical areas of Asia, Europe and America. The roots and bark, widely used in the Ayurveda tradition, are rich in berberine, a Quaternary isoquinoline alkaloid. It is used to promote digestive and hepatic functions, the regularity of intestinal transit and for the functionality of the cardiovascular system.

Fermented red rice : it is obtained from the fermentation of the common rice (Oryza sativa L.) by a particular strain of red yeast: the Monascus purpureus. During fermentation, the preparation is enriched with a group of substances called monacolins, capable of inhibiting a key enzyme in the biosynthesis of cholesterol.

Chitosan : is a polysaccharide obtained from the exoskeleton of crustaceans. As for cellulose, our body does not have enzymes for its degradation and in the stomach, at acid pH, it forms a gel with emulsifying properties that can reduce the absorption of fats from the intestinal lumen.

Coenzyme Q10 : coenzyme Q10 or ubiquinone is a ubiquitous organic molecule in the body, involved in numerous biochemical processes necessary for the production of ATP, or energy, and in redox processes. These processes, if altered, can lead to a condition of oxidative stress and in particular to lipid peroxidation and the formation of free radicals. Since, over time, its production tends to decrease, its integration is indicated to counteract its deficiency.

Composition : one tablet of TegraDOC contains Berberine 200 mg, Red rice fermented by Monascus purpureus 100 mg (equal to 3 mg of monacolin K), Chitosan 100 mg and Coenzyme Q10 10 mg

How to use : take 1 to 2 tablets per day as needed. Swallow the tablets whole, one at a time, each accompanied by a little water, preferably just before or during the evening meal.

Warnings : for the use of the product it is advisable to consult a doctor. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Do not use during pregnancy, lactation and in case of therapy with lipid-lowering drugs. Do not take in case of known or suspected allergy to one or more of the ingredients. Food supplements are not intended as a substitute for a varied and balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle. Keep out of the reach of children under three years of age. How to store: store in a cool and dry place, away from light, humidity and direct sources of heat. The minimum conservation term refers to the product in an unopened package that has been correctly stored.
