Corrosive Substance Cabinets provide safe, secure, on-site storage of Class 8 corrosive substances, giving you the working freedom of having these dangerous goods nearby, but never at the risk of your safety. Corrosive Cabinets are available in two styles: Steel or Polyethylene. The Steel Corrosive Cabinets have all the features of our Flammable Cabinets with the added benefit of polyethene shelf trays and a unique powder coat paint for chemical resistance. The Polyethylene Corrosive Cabinets are a full polyethene construction for optimal protection against leaks. Chemically inert, linear low-density polyethene offers maximum resistance against rust and corrosion.

These space-saving cabinets are particularly beneficial in the storage of small quantities of flammable liquids, in which you may not require a large cabinet. Each cupboard comes with lockable doors to ensure only those with permission are granted access to the cabinet due to the nature of its contents. Additionally, each unit also comes with a built-in 50 or 150mm spillage sump to collect stray liquid and adjustable shelves. The stand-out yellow colour informs people to take care around the cabinet with its epoxy-polyester powder coat adding extra durability.

They do not specify an absolute test or standard for the cabinets or bins, rather they relate to the nominal construction principles. Namely:
The materials used to form the top, bottom, sides, doors/lid and back provide a fire resistance of 30 minutes
All joints at corners should be free from openings or gaps
Doors/Lids should be close fitting to the frame of the cabinet/bin such that there is a nominal overlap between the frame and lid/doors in their closed position
That all materials used in the construction of the cabinet/bin should have a melting point greater than 750 degrees
