INTRODUCTION:-
TULOPLAST 1 TRANSDERMAL PATCH contains Tulobuterol that belongs to aroup of medicines called Bronchodilators. It is used to prevent and treat asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) in patients without comorbidity.
Asthma is a condition in which a person?s airways becomes swollen, inflamed, narrowed and produces extra mucus, which makes it difficult to breathe. COPD is a bunch of lung diseases that obstruct airflow and make it difficult to breathe.
Before applying TULOPLAST 1 TRANSDERMAL PATCH, inform your doctor if you have raised blood pressure, diabetes, hyperparathyroidism or any kind of heart diseases. TULOPLAST 1 TRANSDERMAL PATCH should be used with caution in pregnant and breast-feeding women.
Your doctor will prescribe the right dose of TULOPLAST 1 TRANSDERMAL PATCH for your child depending on their age, body weight and disease condition. The most common side effects of using TULOPLAST 1 TRANSDERMAL PATCH are itching sensation on application site, redness, eruption of skin, rash, hives, etc. Consult your doctor immediately if any of the symptomset severe.
USES OF TULOPLAST 1 TRANSDERMAL PATCH:-
Used to prevent and treat Asthma and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) in patients without comorbidities
HOW TULOPLAST 1 TRANSDERMAL PATCH WORKS:-
TULOPLAST 1 TRANSDERMAL PATCH makes breathing easier by stimulating certain receptors in the smooth muscles of wind pipe and thus widening the airways.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE:-
Always use TULOPLAST 1 TRANSDERMAL PATCH exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Before applying, clean and dry the application site.?Consider a new site each time to avoid cutaneous irritation. Place TULOPLAST 1 TRANSDERMAL PATCH on an area (usually chest, back or upper arms) that is out of reach of children who may peel it off.
Do not apply TULOPLAST 1 TRANSDERMAL PATCH to damage areas like irritated, injured or cut area of skin. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration of therapy for you depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition. Do not stop using TULOPLAST 1 TRANSDERMAL PATCH unless your doctor advises you to stop.
SIDE EFFECTS OF TULOPLAST 1 TRANSDERMAL PATCH:-
COMMON
Cutaneous irritation like, itching sensation on application site, redness, eruption of skin, rash, hives
Shakiness
Palpitations (a sensation that the heart is racing or pounding)
Stop using TULOPLAST 1 TRANSDERMAL PATCH and contact your doctor immediately if you experience any of the following side effects:
Anaphylactoid symptoms (breathing distress,eneralized flushing, hives)
Serious reduction in serum potassium level (paralysis of limbs, breathing distress, conscious disorder)
HOW TO MANAGE SIDE EFFECTS:-
Skin rash:
Avoid hot showers to prevent further skin irritation. Do not scratch the affected area. Use protective clothing whenoing outdoors. Regularly moisturize your skin. If symptom persists, contact your doctor.
WARNING & PRECAUTIONS:-
PREGNANCY
TULOPLAST 1 TRANSDERMAL PATCH should be used with caution in pregnant women. Consult your doctor for advice.
BREASTFEEDING
TULOPLAST 1 TRANSDERMAL PATCH should be used with caution in breastfeeding women. Consult your doctor for advice.
ALLERGY
Do not apply TULOPLAST 1 TRANSDERMAL PATCH if you are allergic to Tulobuterol or any of the other components of this medicine.
HEART DISEASE
TULOPLAST 1 TRANSDERMAL PATCH should be used with caution if you have myocardial insufficiency, irregular heartbeat, high blood pressure or other heart diseases. Consult your doctor for advice.
OTHERS:-
TULOPLAST 1 TRANSDERMAL PATCH is not recommended for use if you:
Have phaeochromocytoma (a kind of brain tumour)
Before using TULOPLAST 1 TRANSDERMAL PATCH inform your doctor if you have:
Hyperparathyroidism (high levels of parathyroid hormone)
Diabetes
Atopic dermatitis (dry, itchy, inflamed skin)
Use in Paediatrics:
Your doctor will prescribe the right dose of TULOPLAST 1 TRANSDERMAL PATCH for your child depending on their age, body weight and disease condition.
INTERACTIONS:-
A. Drug-Drug interactions:
Before using TULOPLAST 1 TRANSDERMAL PATCH, inform your doctor if you are taking any of the following medicines:
Digoxin (used for heart insufficiency)
Medicine to treat lung diseases (Ex. caffeine, theobromine)
Medicines used to reduce inflammation and suppress the immune system (Ex. hydrocortisone, methylprednisolone)
Medicines used to treat fluid retention (Ex. furosemide, chlorthalidone)
Overdosage:
If you or anyone else applies excess of TULOPLAST 1 TRANSDERMAL PATCH, consult your doctor immediately or visit the nearby hospital.
