What is VIMENDAN 12.5MG?

VIMENDAN 12.5MG contains Levosimendan which belongs to a group of medicines called inotropic and vasodilator agents
What VIMENDAN 12.5MG is used for?

It is used for relieving the shortness of breath from severe heart failure, by increasing the pumping force of the heart and allows blood vessels to relax. It will lessen the congestion in your lungs and make it easier for blood and oxygen to go through your body
WARNING AND PRECAUTIONS
Talk to your Doctor, if you:
Are allergic to any of the other ingredients of this medicine

Have a heart disease

Have severe kidney, liver disease

Are in a state of decreased blood volume (hypovolemia)

Have a low amount of potassium in your blood

Have low blood counts (anemia)

PRAGNANCY AND BREAST FEEDING:

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor for advice before taking this medicine

CHILDREN AND ADOLESCENT:

Consult your doctor for advice before giving this medicine for your child
INTERACTIONS:-
Tell your doctor if you are using, have recently used or might use any other medicines.
If you have been given other heart medicines through your veins
DIRECTIONS AND FOR USE:-
VIMENDAN 12.5MG is usually given intravenously by a doctor or nurse
SIDE EFFECTS:-
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

Common

Headache

Drop in blood pressure

Low amount of potassium in your blood

Insomnia, dizziness

An abnormal heartbeat called atrial fibrillation (a part of the heart flutters instead of beating properly)

Nausea,vomiting

Diarrhoea or constipation

Low blood counts
