The Wheatstone bridge is a widely used electrical circuit for measuring electrical resistance. It was invented by Samuel Hunter Christie and popularized by Sir Charles Wheatstone in the 19th century. The Wheatstone bridge circuit consists of four resistors arranged in a diamond shape, with a power source connected across one diagonal and a galvanometer (a sensitive current-measuring device) connected across the other diagonal.
