Xylene Industrial is used as a solvent in the manufacturing of chemicals, agricultural spray’s, adhesive and coatings, as an ingredient in aviation fuel gasoline, and as a feedstock in manufacturing various polymers, phthalic anhydride, isophthalic acid, terepthalic acid, and dimethyl terepthalate. It is used in printing, rubber, and leather industries. It is a common component of ink, rubber, and adhesive. In thinning paints and varnishs, it can be substituted for toluene where slower drying is desired, and thus is used by conservator of art injects in solubility testing etc
