Ofili Onyinye, a 19-year-old Nigerian, has achieved an exceptional academic milestone by graduating with a first-class degree in Software Engineering from Admiralty University of Nigeria, Delta State.
She completed her program with an impressive cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 4.64, earning her the titles of best graduating student in both her department and faculty.
Onyinye began her academic journey through the Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB) program at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. This foundational year allowed her to transition from health sciences to Software Engineering, a decision she described as bold and filled with challenges.
Joining Admiralty University in her second year (200 level), Onyinye started with a 2:1 CGPA, leaving her with limited time to achieve her first-class dream.
She faced moments of self-doubt and struggled with a demanding workload but remained resolute. She overcame the hurdles through consistent studying, prayer, and personal development.
Reflecting on her motivation, she shared, “One question kept driving me forward: What would happen if you don’t give up?”
