As part of the University’s initiative to streamline operations and reduce stress for students and staff, the University has automated the final-year clearance process.
This change follows the Senate’s approval of the results for graduating students during its 301st meeting.
The mobilization process for the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) is currently underway, and the final clearance for collecting Statement of Results and Certificates will begin in preparation for the upcoming Convocation Ceremonies.

Step-by-Step Guide to Process Student Clearance
- Log in as a Student:
Access your student portal by entering your login details (matric number and password). - Navigate to the Clearance Section:
On the navigation bar, locate and click on the “Clearance” tab. - Upload the Alumni Receipt:
Follow the instructions on the interface to upload your alumni receipt. Ensure you have paid the alumni fee and have a PDF copy of the receipt ready. - View Clearance Officers’ Actions:
After uploading the receipt, a list of designated officers for the clearance will appear, showing their statuses as “Pending.” - Clearance Status:
As the clearance is processed by each officer, the statuses will update to “Cleared.” - Clearance Completion:
Once you are cleared by all designated officers, you can proceed to print your clearance certificate.
