A Man Claims an OOU Lecturer Sabotaged His CGPA for His Girlfriend

A man has shared a disturbing story about how his academic performance at Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU) was allegedly sabotaged by a Philosophy lecturer after the lecturer discovered he was dating a female student he was romantically interested in. The man claimed that his CGPA dropped from 3.5 to 2.9 following this revelation.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), the man detailed how his 400-level project was suddenly rejected just three days before submission, a decision that severely impacted his grades. According to him, the lecturer became hostile toward him after learning of his relationship with the woman, who was known for her beauty and attracted attention from several lecturers.

The situation escalated when the man reportedly caught the lecturer in his girlfriend’s room, wearing only boxers and a singlet, confirming his suspicions that the lecturer’s actions were motivated by jealousy and romantic interest. Reflecting on the experience, he wrote: “I dated one girl during my university days. She was in my department, and we were both in 300 level at the time. Being one of the most beautiful women in the department, lecturers wanted their share of attention. I expected that, but not to my detriment.”

Despite the setbacks, the man mentioned that his supervisor eventually showed some leniency, giving him a “B” on his project. He also revealed that his girlfriend graduated with a third class and later forgave her for her role in the situation. The incident, he noted, taught him a harsh lesson about trust and relationships. He concluded by reflecting on how both he and his friends had suffered due to the lecturer’s actions, which were rooted in personal vendettas.
