A Nigerian Celebrates, After Receiving Two First-Class Honours.

Christiana Onyinyechi Ufomba, an accomplished Nigerian student who excelled at both the Nigerian Law School and Abia State University, created history by graduating with a double first-class degree in law.

Christiana earned a first-class Bachelor of Law (LLB) degree in 2020, making her the top student in her faculty. Later, she continued her academic success at the Nigerian Law School, where she graduated with a first-class degree and became a qualified solicitor for the Nigerian Supreme Court.

She revealed in an interview with Edureaders that she never intended to receive first-class honours but instead persisted in her studies with perseverance and determination. After learning that she qualified for a scholarship test administered by the Body of Senior Advocates of Nigeria (BOSAN), she stepped up her efforts. She persevered and succeeded in spite of obstacles, such as a grade in a 4-unit course that was mistakenly recorded.

Christiana doubled her study time, went over previous questions, and listened to recorded notes on days when she felt weak in order to recreate her undergraduate performance in law school.

In the future, she wants to work for prestigious companies to hone her abilities, manage challenging legal matters, and pick the brains of professionals in the field. Additionally, she hopes to continue her studies at esteemed universities including New York University, Stanford Law School, Harvard Law School, the University of Cambridge, and the University of Oxford.
