Musa Wada, a 45-year-old educator, was arrested in Jigawa State for the heinous murder of Bashir Adamu, a 14-year-old Almajiri pupil. The victim’s genital organs were beheaded and dismembered in the horrific event.
SP Lawan Shiisu, a spokesman for the Jigawa Police Command, confirmed the arrest after detectives located the culprit after receiving a tip.

During interrogation, Wada acknowledged that the victim passed away as a result of punishment for his repeated absences from school, according to SP Shiisu. He claimed to have decapitated the youngster and disfigured his body to give the impression that he had been the victim of ritualistic violence in an effort to deceive authorities.
Musa Wada of Jikas-Dabaja village in Gwaram LGA was arrested on March 13, 2025, at around 3:30 PM for the heinous murder of his pupil, Bashir Adamu.
SP Shiisu said, “Detectives from the Gwaram Division were able to successfully apprehend the suspect following intelligence received.”
Wada admitted under questioning at the State Criminal Investigation Department in Dutse that Bashir had skipped school, but he was unable to give a convincing explanation when asked why. Wada chose to punish him as a response, which regrettably caused the youngster to lose consciousness and pass away.
Wada mutilated and buried the victim’s head and genitalia in his farmland in an attempt to create a false narrative that would imply a ritualist was behind the murder.
Around 10:00 PM on March 12, 2025, authorities were notified that a decapitated body with missing genitalia had been discovered by the side of the road close to Jikas-Dabaja hamlet in Gwaram LGA. Investigation revealed that the body belonged to Bashir Adamu, a pupil of Musa Wada.
The culprit will be taken before the court to face justice after the inquiry is over.
