For the 2024 academic year, applications are being accepted for the University of Lagos (UNILAG) Sandwich Programme, a joint venture between the Faculty of Education and the Institute of Continuing Education (ICE). This program provides a broad range of B.A. Ed. and B.Sc. Ed. programs are designed to satisfy the learning and career requirements of students in different fields. A Wide Range of Courses
The Sandwich Program of UNILAG includes a wide variety of areas, such as but not limited to:
- Education for Adults
- English, French, history, Igbo, Yoruba, Christian religious studies, and Islamic religious studies are among the specializations in arts education that are offered.
- Human kinetics, health education, guidance and counselling, and educational administration.
- Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Integrated Science, and Mathematics are all included in science education.
- Courses in Early Childhood Education, Economics, Geography, Business Education, Technology Education, and Home Economics are offered by Social Sciences Education, Technology, and Vocational Education.
Qualifications
Admission Conditions
The curriculum is developed to fit a range of educational backgrounds:
- Candidates must have completed at least five (5) “O” level credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics, in no more than two sittings to be eligible for the five-year program.
- Program duration: 4 years; intended for applicants who have shown merit in relevant Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) courses.
- Three-year program: Designed for applicants with a Postgraduate Diploma in Education and a Bachelor’s degree or HND in related fields.

Procedure for Applications
On the UNILAG website, prospective students may get application forms online. Here’s a detailed how-to:
- Visit the application portal directly at http://applications.unilag.edu.ng/ or via the official UNILAG website.
- The application cost, fifteen thousand naira (N15,000) non-refundable, is paid via the Treasury Single Account (TSA) via Remita Platform at any bank on campus.
- After making the payment, applicants must complete the online application and mail a printed copy to the Faculty of Education’s Sandwich Programme Office.
Important Dates
- Date of Application Opening: January 22, 2024, Monday.
- Closing date for applications is Friday, June 28, 2024.
Applicants will be notified immediately of the test date.
