Ryyan Pritchett, a talented young student from Greensboro, has received an incredible $1.4 million in scholarships from several prestigious American universities.
With an outstanding 4.68 GPA, Pritchett, a STEM Early College graduate from North Carolina A&T University, received admission offers from esteemed universities like Harvard University, Duke University, Brown University, and Georgia Tech. She decided to continue her education at Harvard after giving it some thought.
I choose Harvard because it gave me the chance to interact with other intelligent academics and students. “I also want to expand my horizons, meet people from around the world, and acquire a new outlook on life,” she stated.

Pritchett, who has a strong interest in American literature and history, attributes her love of learning to her parents. My parents have instilled in me the value of education since I was a little child. I enjoy pushing myself and learning new things,” she said.
She uses poems and short tales as a creative outlet outside of the classroom, frequently drawing on her own experiences. She started teaching English Language Arts in Houston, Texas, after graduating from Harvard with a bachelor’s degree in biology in 2023. She places a strong emphasis on creating a welcoming and encouraging learning environment.
“Regardless of identity or background, every child should feel seen, appreciated, and wanted in the classroom, which is a sacred space.” As a result, I have created a classroom setting that allows each student to succeed,” she said.
Pritchett is thinking about combining her love of history, social justice, and storytelling with a career as a policy analyst or documentary filmmaker. Young kids who aspire to academic success can find encouragement in her journey.
