Federal Government (FG) Bilateral Education Agreement (BEA) Scholarship 2025/2026
The Federal Government of Nigeria invites eligible candidates to apply for the BEA Scholarship for the 2025/2026 academic session. The scholarship supports undergraduate and postgraduate studies in select countries, offering funding for tuition, accommodation, and additional supplements.
Scholarship Details
Undergraduate Studies:
- Host Countries: Russia, Morocco, Hungary, Egypt, and Algeria.
- Fields of Study: Engineering, Medicine, Agriculture, Sciences, Law, Biotechnology, Architecture, etc.
Postgraduate Studies:
- Host Countries: Russia (for Russian first-degree holders), China, Hungary, Serbia, and Romania.
- Fields: All disciplines at the Master’s and Ph.D. levels.
Eligibility Criteria
Undergraduate Applicants:
- Must be Nigerian.
- Achieve a minimum of 7 distinctions (A’s & B’s) in relevant WASSCE/WAEC subjects, including English and Mathematics (2023 or 2024 certificates only).
- Age: 17–20 years.
Postgraduate Applicants:
- Must be Nigerian.
- Hold a First Degree (1st Class or at least 2nd Class Upper Division).
- Complete the NYSC program with valid discharge or exemption certificates.
- Age: Master’s (35 years max); Ph.D. (40 years max).
- Provide employer’s release readiness for employed applicants.
How to Apply
- Visit the Federal Ministry of Education’s website.
- Click on the Federal Scholarship Board icon.
- Complete the application form online and print a copy.
Required Documents:
- WAEC/WASSCE certificates (PDF).
- NYSC discharge/exemption certificate.
- First Degree certificate (for PG applicants).
- NIN slip.
Additional Notes
- BEA countries require a one-year language course for non-English programs.
- Specific instructions for Hungarian and Russian applications:
- Hungarian: Apply via Stipendium Hungaricum (closes January 15, 2025).
- Russian: Apply through the Education in Russia portal.
