Gov. Sani gave N10 million to a teacher who passed away while being held captive and gave scholarships to Kuriga students.

The late Abubakar Isah, the head teacher of Kuriga Junior Secondary School, passed away in a bandit’s lair. The governor gave his family N10 million.

Health issues were cited as the cause of his death.

On Thursday, as the 137 schoolchildren who had been rescued departed the city center to rejoin their families in their town, the governor stated that a cash payment had been made to the family.

The youngsters were receiving three days of psychological therapy at the Kaduna Women and Youngsters Shelter, according to Governor Sani, which is why they weren’t sent back to their parents after being rescued.

“While in captivity, the late Head Teacher Abubakar Isah fell ill and died from lack of access to medical care. The governor of Kaduna State will give his family a donation of 10 million Naira. Scholarships for education will also be awarded to his children. He prayed, “May Allah pardon his transgressions, main.”

The 137 rescued children, according to Governor Uba, are now his children, and as such, he would finance their education from primary to secondary school through his Uba Sani Foundation, which was founded sixteen years ago.

He told the kids that the Foundation is unrelated to the Kaduna State government and that he and his colleagues are available to support them in making future career decisions.

Now, they have been given adequate psychosocial counseling and therapy. I am happy today that all the children are happy and they are in high spirits.

“Now, you are going back home to meet with your parents and other family members who are eager to see you. But, I want to assure you that all of you remain my children.

“As a result of this, I will be using Uba Sani Foundation, which has been in existence for the past 16 years, to look after the education of all the 137 of you,” he said.

According to Governor Uba Sani, his administration would also be doing a great deal of restoration work in the Kuriga neighborhood and the school.

He said that one of Kaduna’s most tranquil communities is the Kuriga village.

He added that he had received the same assurance from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu that he would visit the state during the first week of May and that he would like to interact with the kids.
