Governor Nasir Idris extended support to students with special needs during the maiden convocation of the Federal University Birnin Kebbi (FUBK).
Among the beneficiaries was Abdulhakim, a student pursuing a B.Sc. in Education, who relies on a wheelchair for mobility.
Governor Idris’ generous gesture highlights his commitment to empowering individuals with disabilities, acknowledging their potential and determination.
Furthermore, the Kebbi State Government has pledged to employ Abdulhakim as a teacher upon graduation, recognizing his qualifications, including holding a National Certificate in Education (NCE).
This initiative underscores the government’s belief in inclusivity and the value of supporting individuals with disabilities to achieve their career aspirations.
Alhaji Shafi’u Abubakar Zauro, the Governor’s Special Adviser on Special Duties, communicated the Governor’s acknowledgment that “there is ability in disability,” affirming the state’s commitment to fostering equal opportunities for all.
