The University of Jos (UNIJOS) has declared that on Monday, May 20, 2024, the second-semester exams for the 2022–2023 academic year will begin. To guarantee a seamless examination experience, it is imperative that you follow these tips as you get ready for these significant assessments.
Important Exam Guidelines for Students at UNIJOS
The payment of school fees
- Complete Payment Requirement: Students who have not paid their school fees in full will not be permitted to take the exams, according to the Senate’s ruling.
- Exam Card Printing: Go into your dashboard after paying the entire cost of attendance at the school to print your exam card. To enter the examination hall, you must have this card.
- Part Payment Synchronization: If you have paid in part, make sure that your payment has been coordinated with your Faculty Finance Officer (FFO). After synchronization, use your dashboard to pay the outstanding debt.
- Complete Payment for New Payments: Before you take the tests, you must pay the entire amount owed to the school through your dashboard if you haven’t already.
Option for Partial Payment
- 50% Partial Payment: Inform your Faculty Finance Officer (FFO) of your situation and promise to pay the remaining amount after the exams if you are unable to cover all of the costs but are able to pay 50% of them. The following instructions should be followed to make the partial payment via the University REMITA Account (UNIVERSITY OF JOS – 1000113):
- Go see Remita.
- After choosing “Pay TSA and States,” select “FGN: Federal Government of Nigeria.”
- Enter “University of Jos” as the payment recipient.
- Select the goal of “Undergraduate Outstanding Fees.”
- Complete the necessary fields and press submit to get an RRR.
- Use the payment method of your choice (bank branch, USSD, or card).
- Bring your printed REMITA receipt with you to the exam room. Please take note that all REMITA receipts will be checked via the REMITA portal’s QR codes.
- Contingency on Results Release: Students who pay in part but are still permitted to take the exam will not receive their results until all outstanding fees have been paid to the school.
Confirmation and Record-Keeping
- Make sure you ask your faculty finance officer about the status of your payments.
- Make physical copies of your examination card, school charge receipt, and REMITA receipt.
- These documents are required for admittance, therefore bring them with you to the exam room.
Strict Compliance
- Students are advised that they will not be able to take part in the second-semester exams if they have not paid the school fees.
Getting Ready for Your Exams
The purpose of these rules is to enable an impartial and well-structured assessment procedure. Make sure you finish all required paperwork and payments ahead of time to prevent any last-minute problems. Your careful adherence to these guidelines will guarantee a seamless and stress-free exam experience.
Keep yourself updated by communicating with your Faculty Finance Officer and reviewing your dashboard on a regular basis. I hope your exam and preparation go well!
