Oseni, a brilliant Nigerian woman, was the best graduating female student at the University of Ibadan in 2024. Her bachelor’s degree in Industrial and Production Engineering was completed with a 3.82 CGPA on a 4.00 scale.

At Yaba College of Technology, Latifat studied Welding and Fabrication Engineering and graduated as the top female student of 2020/2021 with a 3.80 CGPA.
She enrolled in the University of Ibadan’s Direct Entry program to study. She told TESA that she had always envisioned this success, as she had excelled.
Latifat found UI hard but rewarding. Pressure to maintain excellent academic standards, especially during exams, was intense. After rigorous classes like data analysis, she cried due to financial and mental stress.
Despite these obstacles, she persisted. She reminded herself that greatness means giving her all, and her belief that God orchestrates the best plans gave her strength during difficult times.
Beyond school, Latifat participated in many extracurriculars. She was the assistant coordinator of the Muslim Tech Students Gathering (MTSG) under the Muslim Students’ Society of Nigeria, University of Ibadan Chapter (MSSNUI) without sacrificing her academic performance.
She also took extra data analysis classes to satisfy her desire.
Latifat had a deep sense of satisfaction, seeing her award as a personal victory over academic hurdles.
Latifat advised STEM-aspiring women to persevere. She believes success is possible if one perseveres despite hardships.
She also recommended undergraduates to attend class, collaborate, and pray.
Latifat hopes to combine her engineering and data analysis skills in the future, sure that with divine direction she will succeed.
